Our response
Vanguard has responded by developing a document storage system that provides superior and unparalleled levels of security and protection from flood and fire. We offer document storage sealed inside of new heavy-duty steel 20-foot shipping containers we call “vaults” that are located within secured buildings at the Vanguard Filebank Centres in east London, west London and Manchester.
They are protected 24/7 by Chubb / ADT electronic security, and comprehensive fire protection and CCTV systems. Each container is airtight, watertight and fire resistant to ensure that documents are protected, whatever occurs outside.
All fire extinguishers and hoses, electrical equipment, lighting systems and alarm systems are periodically checked in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations, with fire brigade audits and ongoing staff training on the use of fire equipment to add more assurance. Moreover no-smoking and no-drinking rules for both staff and clients are strictly enforced.

We maintain the recommended environmental conditions for magnetic media; celluloid films including microfiche and microfilm; and all types and ages of paper in accordance with the relevant British Standards
